How do blogs work?

I guess this is working if I can read it. I first set up the blog to be hosted on superhertz.com in a new user (blogger) directory's public_html. Blogger.com then used sFTP to publish directly to superhertz.

Now I am trying to let blogspot.com host the entire thing, but set up the DNS on superhertz.com to redirect from blog.superhertz.com.
